Downtown Links Constructors (DLC), under contract with the City of Tucson Transportation Department, continue pre-construction field activities as they prepare for roadway construction. The traveling public will see equipment, work crews and short-term traffic control during this investigative phase of work which includes; surface, subsurface, geotechnical, environmental and survey verifications. The traveling public should anticipate the following traffic closures:
On Thursday, March 5, 2020 the contractor will conduct pavement patching operations along the sections of roadway previously disturbed by pre-construction field activities.
Motorists should watch for temporary lane restrictions and/or flaggers directing traffic around the work area in the following locations:
7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Seventh Avenue between Sixth and Seventh streets
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sixth Street between Main and Church avenues
- Stone Avenue from Sixth Street to just north of Fifth Street
- Sixth Avenue between Sixth and Seventh streets
- Church Avenue between Sixth and Franklin streets
- Seventh Avenue/Toole Avenue to Church Avenue/Franklin Street
